A Hokkaido Shinkansen station is planned at Kutchan as part of the line’s extension to Sapporo, which is expected to greatly improve access to Sapporo and Honshu. As the transportation hub for the world-class resort of Niseko, the station-front area is likely to draw even more attention in the years ahead.
